Simon Conway Morriss is professor of evolutionary palaeobiology at the University of Cambridge where he received his Ph.D. A Gifford Lecturer in 2007, he is a fellow of the Royal Society and the recipient of numerous awards, including the WalcottMedal of the National Academy of Sciences and the Lyell Medal of the Geological Society of London.
