Author Biography
Anantanarayanan Raman, PhD, DSc, is currently working as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Sydney, Orange, New South Wales, Australia. Earlier, from 1971 to 1996, he taught at Loyola College, University of Madras, Chennai. In 1990, he was awarded the prestigious Fulbright fellowship to work at Bucknell University, Pennsylvania, USA. Dr Raman worked at Universität Heidelberg, Germany as a Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst (DAAD) scholar in 1991 and as a Visiting Professor in 2000. He has published more than 120 research papers in prestigious journals and conference papers, and has edited/authored 8 books. Jayashree Nimmagadda, MSW, PhD LICSW, is an Associate Professor at the School of Social Work, Rhode Island College, USA teaching several reseach and social-work practice courses. After her Master's in social work, she practised with alcohol and drug addicts in India before migrating to USA.
