The book ends with 7 chapters on the Island and its inhabitants, the aborigines, the Nicobaries, an old account of Kar Nicobar, customs of the Kar Nicobaries and the fauna of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The book has 11 appendices that discuss the weather in the Andamans, the forests, the produce, census, government schools, flora, trade and barter. This book has 78 illustrations and photographs. This book is a part of the Imperial gazetteer of India provincial series. It is a very concise book that offers notices on all aspects of the Islands.
