Yet it also depicts the lot of the depressed mundkar (landless tenent), his struggle in the face of challenge and it exults in his ultimate triumph as well as the change it brought into the old order. And coming to our times it tells of hippies and hucksters, who in their turn have changed the scene and place foremost on the international tourist map.
