Ambasta is presently serving in Haryana College of Technology and Management, Kaithalas a Professor in the Deptt. of Chemistry. Before serving this institute, he served M.L.S.M (Degree) College, Sundernagar (H.P.) as a lecturer in Chemistry. Dr. Ambasta, after completing Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Magadh University, Bodh-Gaya (Bihar), involved himself in post-doctoral research work. He worked as a 'Research Associate' in 'Polymer Chemistry' in a CSIR Project and then DRDO Project in the Department of Chemistry at H.P. University, Shimla. His research papers have been published in various national and international journals. He is the member of Indian Science Congress Association, member of Indian Society for Technical Education and fellow of Indian Chemical Society.
