Curriculum is a key issue which lies at the heart of the work that teachers and trainers actually do. It shapes the programs that are taught, and it dictates which students can have access to courses and which students cannot. This book provides an accessible overview of the key issues surrounding the curriculum within the learning and skills sector in the UK. Written for all those working towards the UK's Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills, it provides examples and case studies that show these issues within working Further Education colleges, adult education centers, and work-based learning contexts. The book also offers succinct summaries of key theories and debates relating to the curriculum.
