Born on December 17, 1958 (New Delhi), he did his M.B.B.S. from Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi (1982) and M.D. from Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi. He had been awarded Buckshee Award in XI Annual Conference of Indian Psychiatric Society (North Zone) in New Delhi, and had also received Aaroh Award for literature and many other awards. He is a renowned researcher in the field of Psychiatry and had over 200 research papers and articles published in various International and National Journals, Magazines, Newspapers and Books. His areas of research include psychological problems related to interpersonal relationships, women, children and elderly. He has edited over 15 books in Psychiatry and Psychology.
