  • Author Biography

    Albert N. Link is professor of economics at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He received the B.S. degree in mathematics from the University of Richmond in 1971 and the Ph.D. in economics from Tulane University in 1976. His research interests are broadly within the area of technology and innovation policy, and his current projects relate to public policy evaluation methods and university research strategies. He is editor of the Journal of Technology Transfer; he has also served on numerous U.S. as well as international science and technology advisory committees. John T. Scott received the Ph.D. in Economics from Harvard University and the A.B. in Economics and English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He holds the position of Professor of Economics at Dartmouth College. His teaching and research are in the areas of industrial organization and the economics of technological change. He has served as the President of the Industrial Organization Society and on the editorial boards of the International Journal of Industrial Organization, the Review of Industrial Organization, and The Journal of Industrial Economics. He has consulted in matters of technology policy for the National Institute of Standards and Technology, the National Science Foundation, the National Academy of Sciences, the World Bank, and the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development. He has served as an economist at the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System and at the Federal Trade Commission.
