Barry is the author of several general knowledge books, including General Studies: Business & Economics Sports (Volume - 4) and General Studies Volume 2: History. Apart from books in this genre, O’Brien has written Coca-Cola World Cup Booklet, Britannia Spirit of the Olympics Booklet, Memories- A Photographic Essay of India in the 1940s, and more booklets and cards. Barry O’Brien was raised in his grandmother’s home in Jamir Lane, Kolkata. He worked as a sports journalist during the mid 1980s and then went on to become a teacher at South Point High School in Kolkata. He now holds workshops and training sessions aimed at motivating students as well as teachers.
