Authored by Elisabetta Dami for children, the Geronimo series is the story of a mouse by the same name. Geronimo Stilton, the lead character in the series, is the editor of ‘The Rodent’s Gazette’ in the fictitious New Mouse Island. He also gets involved in some adventure of his own. In the Mouse Island Marathon, Geronimo Stilton gets a chance to participate in the Marathon race due to certain circumstances. Geronimo is not sure whether he should take part in the race. Geronimo is extended all the support by his friends and family so that he completes the race successfully. The story revolves around Geronimo’s participation in the race. Elisabetta Dami, who writes under the pseudonym of Geronimo Stilton, is of Italian origin and was born in Milan in 1958. The Race Across America and Geronimo And The Gold Medal Mystery are some of the other popular comics in the Geronimo Stilton series.  She loves writing, and she made it her career at a young age of 19 years. After a few years of writing, she created the character Geronimo Stilton in Italy. It received wide acceptance, and soon the series was translated to English and several other languages. The success of the Geronimo comics inspired her to create the Geronimo Stilton series.
