Emergence of difficult to treat infections caused by multidrug-resistant organisms has now made it essential that infection control policies should be prepared and followed. About the Author Sanjay Singhal is currently Professor of Microbiology ESI Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences and Research and associated Hospital Basaidarapur Delhi. He completed his MBBS (1985) and MD (1989) from KGMC Lucknow and has 25 years of experience in the field of medical microbiology. He has worked at SGPGI Lucknow, SVIMS Tirupati, JNMC AMU Aligarh on teaching positions and in MoH Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as microbiologist and infection control officer.
