Watershed Management is a landscape-based strategy that aim to implement improved natural resource management systems for improving livelihoods and promoting beneficial conservation, sustainable use, and management of natural resources. Integrated watershed management has been promoted in many countries as a suitable strategy for improving productivity and sustainable intensification of agriculture. The government of India, in particular, accords high priority to watershed programs as a strategy for integrated development of rural communities, especially in rain-fed and drought-prone areas.

Dr. Deo Kant Prasad is currently working in the dept of Agronomy, Ranchi Agriculture College under Birsa Agricultural University, Kanke, Ranchi (Jharkhand). He has completed master degree in Agronomy and obtained Ph.D in Agronomy from Ranchi Agriculture College, Birsa Agricultural University,Kanke, Ranchi (Jharkhand). He is having good 10 years of teaching and research experience. He has written as many as 13 research papers published in various National and International Journals and attended various seminars & symposium. Dr. Narendra Prasad (b. 1965) is currently working in the faculty of forestry, dept of forest science, Birsa Agricultural University, Kanke, Ranchi. He has completed master degree in forestry in the year 2003 from Birsa Agricultural University, Kanke, Ranchi (Jharkhand). He is having 10 years of teaching experience. He has written 3 books on Environmental Science & Medicinal Plants and various articles published in National and International Journals and attended various seminars.
