Henry Fielding (1707-1754) was an illustrious English novelsit and dramatist, noted particularly for his picaresque novel Tom Jones (1749) and for Joseph Andrews (1742), which startes as a parody of Richardson's Pamela. He is also noted as an enlightened magistrate and a founder of Bow Street runners. About Author : C. James is a seasoned teacher and researcher of English Language and Literature.
