University Tirupathi, Andhra Pradesh. She is recipient of Annie L.and D. Elizabeth Laird Prize for proficiency in the area of study-Home Science Education and Extension during her M.Sc. Programme. She has awarded Ph.D. Degree in Extension Education by the Andhra Pradesh Agricultural University, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad in 1996.Dr. (Mrs.) A. Laxmi Devi, obtained her Ph.D. degree in 1983 from Andhra Pradesh Agricultural University in the field of Extension Education. She served as Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Extension Education at College of Home Science, Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University, Hyderabd where she was actively involved in Graduate and Post-Graduate teaching and supervision of Post-graduate research work of the students and contributed a lot to the developemtn of the department.
