This book is an objective and passionate attempt to unfold world politics before young and inquisitive minds who become baffled as to how recession of early 1970s and the current sub-prime crisis in the United State of America affect the world economy or how World Trade Organization (WTO) and Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty (CTBT) can be partisan and become an instrument in perpetuating the domination of the powerful. While theoretical perspectives of international relations as an emerging independent subject of study have been carefully constructed, a conscious effort has been made to avoid rhetoric in analysing the wide range of issues. This textbook is aimed at stimulating penetrating engagement into the ever-enlarging contours of international relations. It has now become imperative on the part of an informed individual to pay due attention to the study and understanding of the processes and factors that continue to shape the complex nature of this fascinating subject.
