Description
The growth of forests in India is directly related to a sound silvicultural knowledge of trees. 'Silviculture' refers to certain aspects ofthe theory and practice of raising forest crops. Each tree has its own silviculture, and to study that is important just as it is necessary to study its relationship with and reaction to other trees.
