Ted R. Johnson is a biology professor at St. Olaf College, where he has been teaching for 20 years. He earned a B.A. from Augsburg College and an M.A., and Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He teaches courses in microbiology, immunology, and cancer biology and his researchinterests include cancer biology, immunology, aging, and soil microbiology.Christine L. Case is a registered microbiologist and professor of microbiology at Skyline College in San Bruno, California, where she has taught for the past 25 years. In addition to teaching and affiliations with numerous scientific organizations, Chris contributes regularly to professional literature, develops innovative instructional methodologies, and maintains a personal and professional commitment to conservation and the importance of science in society.
