  • Description

Ever since his delayed arrival on the lower-league scene, Lee Trundle has grabbed the attention of football fans nationwide. A cult hero wherever he went, the striker with the showman’s touch and the appetite for the spotlight became the most talked-about name outside the Premiership. Whether it was the outrageous skills made famous by Soccer AM, the celebrity girlfriends or his infamous image-rights deal, his cheeky smile was never far from focus. And that’s without mentioning the goals that saw him go from non-league hopeful to million-pound star. Trundle has been the subject of more column inches than many top-flight stars would dream of, but now he has his say. In this revealing and honest autobiography, he tells all about his Liverpool upbringing, his journey through the non-league sides and nightclubs of the north-west and how the birth of his daughter helped change his life on and off the pitch. He lifts the lid on his time at Wrexham, Bristol City, Leeds United and his beloved Swansea City, including his moments of heaven and hell at both the Millennium and Wembley stadiums. In Lee Trundle: More Than Just Tricks, Trundle shows there’s more to his story than simply showboating, as he reflects on the ups and downs of his career so far, including an emotional 2009–10 season.
