Victor Jacquemont traveled for 4 years - 1828-1831. He started in Calcutta, and from there he made his way to Delhi thence to Shimla and further on to the border with Tibet in Kinnaur; he then returned to Shimla. He traveled back to Delhi and made his way to Lahore via Ludhiana; from Lahore he made his way to Srinagar, Stopping on various camps on the way. From there he made his way back is Delhi via Jammu and other cities in Punjab like Ambala, Sabhato.
