Love, fun, heartbreak and tears - Love Story is a book that takes you to a world where your emotions are on a perpetual roller coaster. How far can you go, for the person you love? Can you sacrifice your entire life for them? Will you be by your lover's side even if he/she is crippled with a fatal disease? Oliver Barett, who has shunned away his father’s massive fortune to marry the love of his life, Jennifer Cavilleri, is still as much in love with her as they were in college. When she’s struck with an illness, they reminisce about the beautiful journey they had together. Will their love endure the storm once more? Will Jennifer overcome her illness? The book takes readers on a nostalgic ride through the couple’s memories - starting from their times during college, when Oliver was a Harvard jock and Jennifer was a student of music at Radcliffe. Beautiful incidents that made them fall in love with each other are described intricately and form the core of the book. Erich Segal had originally intended Love Story tobe a screenplay. It was first released as a book and went on to storm the publishing world. It featured for 41 weeks on The New York Times Bestselling List and was translated into 20 languages. The movie followed the book in the year 1970. It was nominated for seven Academy Awards and won five Golden Globes.
