  • Description

Wind tunnels are used to test a large number of vehicles including rockets, aircraft, automobiles, virtually every device developed for motion while encountering resistance from a gas or air. There are 2 types of wind tunnels high-speed (which as expected are used to test high velocity vehicles) and low-speed (used to test the majority of the products developed). As with the previous editions this book covers all aspects of the technology from the design and use of wind tunnels to the complex instrumentation required to analyze the effects that the tunnel has on the product being tested.
