He traveled from Bombay to Peshawar then to Calcutta further into the Himalayas then back to Bombay via Allahabad then toMadras and touching Ceylon back home. As with most books that recount travels, this book is full of observations about the people, history, topography, customs, manners and rituals of the people among whom the author traveled.
