Author Biography
Dr A K Singh did his MSc in Physics with specialization in electronics from Agra University, Agra. He was awarded his Phd. In Applied Nuclear Physics in 1999 from AMU, Aligarh. He is presently working as Assoc. Professor Department of Physics, Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon. He has also undergone UNESCO sponsored professional traning on Fiber Optics organized by IIT, Kharagpur.He has several research papers and book chapters and six books published to his credit. With extensive research and teaching experience, he has developed expertise in Applied Nuclear Physics. He has also presented his research papers in National and International symposiums/conferences/seminars. He has teaching experience of a decade. He has taught graduate and post-graduate classes in BSA College, MAthura and BMAS Dr. K.K. Singh did his B.Sc. (Ag.) Hons. M.Sc. (Ag.) in Agricultural Chemistry and Soil Science from Agra University, Agra and M. Phil and Ph.D in Applied Chemistry from AMU Aligarh. He availed UGC-JRF during his M.Phil and PhD. He also qualified Gate-91 examination. He qualified national eligibility test in soil science - soil chemistry/fertility and micribiology in 1995 and NET 1997 in soil science - soil physics/soil and water conservation. He joined the department of agriculture, Govt. of Rajasthan in 1993 as Asstt. Agricultural Research Officer (Chem.) and presently working at Project Directorate (Research), Agriculture and Soil Survey, Krishi Bhawan, Bikaner. Dr. A.K. Singh did his M.Sc. in physics with specialization in electronics from Agra University, Agra. He was awarded his PhD in Applied Nuclear Physics-Uranium and Radon Studies using track etch detector in 1999 from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. He is presently working as Assistant Professor at Department of Physics, Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon. He has also undergone UNESCO sponsored professional training on Fiber Optics organized by IIT, Kharagpur. He has several research papers and chapters published to his credit. Alka Tomar, Heads the environment research group and the environment information dissemination centre (ENVIS centre supported by ministry of environment and forests, GOI) at CMS, New Delhi. A Post Graduate in ENvironmental Science, her area of specialization includes environmental education, natural resource and solid waste management with nine years of experience in project planning, design and management. She has conducted research to formulate locale specific conservation education, communication and social mobilization strategies. Dr. Vinod SIngh is presently working as Lecturer in Geography at Govt. Dungar College, Bikaner. He did his M.A. (Geography), M.Phil and PhD from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. His field of interest is urban environmental and socio-economic problems. He has been teaching physical and human geography and climatology to undergraduate as well as post-graduate classes. He is UGC/NET in Human geography and Population Studies. He was awarded fellowshipfor his PhD fieldwork to SIngapore by JNU, New Delhi. He is currently executing a research project on Urban Wastes Management.
