A passion for the outdoors and a love of doing everything the hard way caused Pen Farthing to pop into a Royal Marine careers office one day aged 18 and never come out. For over 20 years he served in Iraq and Afghanistan and, when time allowed, followed his passion for climbing big mountains around the world. Pen is married to Lisa and they now share their home with their many dogs. With Lisa, Pen manages and runs the Nowzad Dogs charity, which was set up to help relieve the suffering of animals in war torn Afghanistan. nnPen Farthing has won The Dogs Trust Dog's Best Friend Award and the IFAW Pets and People Award.
