Author Biography
Stewart Justman was born in New York City in 1948 and received a Ph.D. in English Literature from Columbia University in 1976. He is Professor of Liberal Studies at the University of Montana, USA, where he has been teaching for the past thirty years. He is the author of many books, among them a meditation on cancer - Seeds of Mortality - which won PEN America’s Award for the Art of the Essay in 2004, and Fool’s Paradise: The Unreal World of Pop Psychology, named by the Popular Culture Association of the US as the best book by a single author in 2005. He has also published extensively on Chaucer and the nineteenth century novel.
