Verma is the Professor and Head of Department of Social Work and Controller of Examination at the University of Lucknow. In recognition of his services as the Programme Coordinator, National Service Scheme, Government of India has awared Indira Gandhi NSS Award to him. He has authored/co-authored edited several books including Empowerment of the Weaker Sections in India, Supervisor Management, Child Labour in India, Bharat Mein Karmik Prabandh Evam Audyogik Sambandh, Audyogik Adhikshan and Samaj Karya Ke Ksherta.Manoj Kumar Agarwal is Reader in the Department of Economics, University of Lucknow. He got his M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from the same Department. He was awarded Junior/Senior Research Fellowships in Economics for pursuing his Ph.D. programme.
