Author Biography
Professor Jeff Tian is currently on sabbatical leave this academic year. He is Associate Professor at the Dept. of Computer Science and Engineering, Southern Methodist University, Dallas, TX. His main research areas cover Software engineering (testing, reliability, safety, metrics, and risk management); Web-based systems (analysis and web-mining, testing and quality improvement); Telecom, embedded, open source, object-oriented, and other industrial applications. He worked previously at SMU, and IBM SWS Toronto Lab. He has a PhD in Computer Science from the University of /Maryland and an MS from Harvard. He was awarded the title of "Asian American Engineer of the Year" at the National Engineers Week 2002.
