India enjoys ubiquitous agri-horti diversity. Too many horitcultural crops, may it be annual or perennial are grown across the biotic realms of different agroeco regions of the country. It has favourably placed the nation as one of the leading producers of horticultural crops including that of spieces and plantation crops. However, being widely divergent in nature as such, simple description on spices and plantation crop is lacking. However, due to uncessant effort being made towards the improvement,lot of informations have been generated in different arean of spices and plantation crops. Such development on time scale provides impetus to the writers and accordingly an idea to compile the manuscript on spices and plantation crops was conceived. About Author : Dr. Jitendra Singh completed B.Sc. Ag. & A.H. degree from C.S. Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur, UP, M.Sc. Ag. (Horticulture) degree from G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar, Udhamsingnagar, Uttaranchal and Ph.d. (Horticultures) from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, UP. He is serving at the College of Agriculture, Rajasthan Agricultural University, Bikaner as Assistant Professor (Horticulture) and has been involved in teaching the course on Medicinal and Aromtic plants. He has experience of working in project pertaining to medicinal plants. He has authored practical manual, extension bulletin, book chapters besides two books and many article ssuiting to the need of widely divergent groups fo readers.
