Author Biography
Jean-Loup Chappelet, PhD, is a professor at the Swiss Graduate School of Public Administration associated with the University of Lausanne in Switzerland. He has been director of the Executive Masters in Sport Organization Management (MEMOS) program since 1999. From 1982 to 1987, he worked with the International Olympic Committee as technology director. Dr. Chappelet has taught sport management and the strategic management of sport organizations for over 12 years. He is a member of the editorial boards of the Journal of Sport Management and European Sport Management Quarterly. He has been a keynote speaker at several sport management conferences and has authored many articles and books on sport organizations. Emmanuel Bayle, PhD, is an associate professor at the University of Lyon, France. He has taught sport management for 10 years. He was a research collaborator of the Center for Sport Law and Economics at the University of Limoges from 1994 to 2000, and worked in the French Olympic Committee from 1993 to 1994.Dr. Bayle is a collaborator of the Revue Juridique et Économique du Sport and a member of the editorial boards of Revue Européenne de Management du Sport. He earned a PhD in management and a master's degree in law and economics of sport from the University of Limoges. He also earned a master's degree in business.
