Struggle for Spheres of Interest in Trans-Caucasia Central-Asia is a comprehensive and well researched study of geo-political, strategic, economic and ethno-national problems of countries of this region. The trans-frontier ethnic disputes in Trans-Caucasia, presence of substantial quantity of natural gas in the Caspian countries and major power rivalry to obtain access to these resources and establish control over their production and export has generated new tensions for the countries of this region. About Author : Dr. (Mrs.) Sheel K. Asopa is a retired professor of international politics, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur. She has specialized in West Asia with speical referene to Turkey, Iran, Iraq and the Gulf coutnries. She has been Senior Fellow of the ICSSR, Project Fellow of the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Institute of Asian Studies, Kolkata. She has extensively written on Central Asian politics since the De-Sovietization fo the region. At the M.A.K.A.I.A.S., Kolkata she worked on Turkey in Central Asia which is under publication by the Institute. Currently she is working on Dynamics of China's Relations with Central Asia.
