This is book serves as a guide to understanding the qualities and essence of a woman. Summary Of The Book The Book of Woman talks about the importance and qualities of a woman. According to Osho, the author, the woman is a mystery. He is of the opinion that understanding a woman is a formidable affair. He tries to impose upon women that their true potential is hidden within their soul and the deeper they dig, the stronger they become. He has given many discourses where he presumes that women let themselves be unduly suppressed. He says in the book that they must start being rebellious. Osho covers the topics of love, sexuality, politics, and work. He elucidates each factor in a woman's life such as infancy, childhood, adolescence, relationships, family, birth control, and motherhood. Though he talks of the institution of marriage in a negative tone, where the woman is forced to dance to her partner's whims and fancies, he says so only in support of woman. He urges her to rejoice in her feminine qualities. He says that the perfect state of being is where there are harmonious relations between the mind and the heart, with the heart being in power. He has written this book not from a man's perspective but in a state of a consciousness, an awareness that knows no gender. The book was first published in 1976. About Osho Born as Chandra Mohan Jain, and later known as Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh, Osho was a famous international guru and a spiritual leader.
