Author Biography
Dinesh Bhugra is President of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, Professor of Mental Health and Cultrual Diversity at the Institute of Psychiatry, King's College London and an Honorary Consultant at the South London and Maudsley Foundation NHS Trust. He has written extensively on training and educational matters, cultural factors and mental illness, psychosexual medicine and spirituality. Stuart Bell has been Chief Executive of the South London and Maudsley NHS Trust since its inception in 1999. He has worked in the acute sector, in organizational development and performance management at regional level in the Department of Health. Alstair Burns is Professor of Old Age Psychiatry at the University of Manchester and a Deputy Dean in the Faculty of Medical and Human Sciences and is currently National Director for Dementia services in England. His clinical work consists of a general hospital liaison service and a specialist memory clinic. Oliver Howes is a Senior Clinical Lecturer in Neuroimaging at the Institute of Psychiatry, King's College London and Honorary Consultant at the South London and Maudsley Foundation NHS Trust. He teaches on the undergraduate and postgraduate psychiatry courses at the Maudsley and iasa traineed monitor.
