Author Biography
Linda L. Nussbaumer, PhD, NCIDQ Certificate No. 11160, CID, ASID, IDEC, is a Professor Emerita of the Interior Design Program in the Department of Consumer Sciences at South Dakota State University. Before retiring May 2010, she was a full-professor teaching interior design and servingas Program Coordinator and Assistant Department Head. Awards received include the Honorary Faculty Marshall for 2010 graduation, Teacher of the Year in 2009, Women of Distinction Faculty Award in 2008, and Outstanding Faculty Award in 2004. Nussbaumer practiced in the interior design field and is a Certified Interior Designer in Minnesota. Her research has been published in various journals on topics that revolve around interior design education, indoor air quality, multiple chemical sensitivity, housing for baby boomers, and design of nursing homes. She is also a CIDA site visitor and actively involved in IDEC.
