About The Author John Adair studied history at Cambridge University and holds higher degrees from the Universities of Oxford and London. He has served in the Arab Legion and worked as a deckhand on an Arctic trawler. After Cambridge, he became senior lecturer in Military History at Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst and later Assistant Director of the Industrial Society. He became the world’s first Professor of Leadership Studies at the University of Surrey. John Adiar is the author of many respected books on management and leadership, including Insuring leadership, also published by Thorogood.
