The Redeemer is a gripping and racy thriller written by Jo Nesbo. The novel starts off on an explosive note with a man being shot in the head in full public view during a Salvation Army street concert. The assassin soon discovers that he has shot the wrong man and sets off on a desperate search to eliminate the right target. With only six bullets, no shelter, an empty wallet, and stranded in the Oslo winter, his pursuit becomes more gruesome and ruthless with each passing minute. The investigating officers, Harry Hole and his men, carry out an effective investigation and manage to zero in on the assassin’s fake passport and credit card. The chase gathers heat in the freezing cold weather, and the book goes on to describe what happens next. Jo Nesbo was born on March 29, in the year 1960, and is a popular Norwegian author, songwriter, economist, and musician. He graduated in Business Administration and Economics from the Norwegian School of Economics. Nesbo is the songwriter and lead vocalist for a Norwegian rock band called Di Derre, and has also worked as a stockbroker and freelance journalist. His novels have been translated into nearly 40 languages. Some of his other popular books are The Redbreast, The Devil’s Star, The Leopard, The Snowman, Phantom, and Nemesis.
