The 3 Mistakes of My Life is the third fiction novel by the bestselling author Chetan Bhagat. He rose into fame, especially among the youth, since his first novel Five Point Someone and since then there has been no looking back. The story is based in Ahmedabad and is set in the years 2000-2005. It is based on some real events, and the story revolves around three friends from a small town who dream to achieve big in their lives. They get into a local business by opening up a cricket shop. Initially, everything seems to be working in their life but then they get a reality check. The story deals with how these three friends deal with the new happenings and manage to come out as winners. Sticking to the title of the book, the focus is on the three mistakes made by Govind, the protagonist of the novel, and how these mistakes alter his and his friends’ lives. The hopes, aspirations, and the problems faced by the central characters of the book are so close to reality that a reader is bound to feel sensitive about it. Born on April 22, 1974, Chetan Bhagat is a famous Indian author who is also a columnist and speaker. Being an alumnus of IIT-D and IIM-A, he initially worked as an investment banker. Now, he has moved to Mumbai and settled there with his wife and two children. Till date, he has written five bestselling novels, including Five Point Someone, One Night at the Call Center, 2 States, and Revolution 2020.
