John Hartley is ARC Federation Fellow and research director ofthe ARC Centre of Excellence for Creative Industries & Innovation at Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in Brisbane. He is a distinguished professor of QUT, where he was foundation dean of the Creative Industries Faculty. He is the author of many books and articles on popular culture, media, journalism, and creative industries, most recently Television Truths.
