Author Biography
Dr. Dallen Timothy is an Associate Professor in the School of Community Resources and Development at Arizona State University. He holds a B.Sc. degree in geography from Brigham Young University, an M.A. in geography from the University of Western Ontario, and a Ph.D. in geography from the University of Waterloo. His research interests in tourism include heritage, community-based planning, political boundaries and supranationalism, shopping and consumption, peripheral and rural regions, less-developed countries, and religiously-motivated travel.Associate Professor of Tourism and Coordinator of the Travel and Tourism Program at Arizona State University. Teye has served as a Fulbright Scholar and a tourism consultant on the United Nations Development Program and the United States Agency for International Development projects in Africa. A human geographer (MA and PhD, University of Manitoba, Canada), his teaching and research interests lie in tourism development issues in developing countries, especially in Africa and the Caribbean regions.
