I graduated from the University of Allahabad with wings that took me to the worlds of strange mysticism and spiritualism. I chose to become a journalist and struggled to find my feet in numerous newspapers and TV channels, came across men and women of all sorts?good and the not so good. I was just about to stumble, when Radio Deutsche VVelle, Germany, offered me a job of an editor in the Hindi service. In this rollercoaster of life so far I had observed that life and death were so one, everyday it was death and every time you recover from it; it was life. I gave up prose and poetry engirdled my unrest. In the meantime, while I was busy raising my two adorable sons, Zubair and Aamir, I completed my Ph.D. in English poetry.
