A special emphasis has been laid on Organizational Set-up of Agricultural Research and Education in India along with latest concept terminology of modern agri-systems. Finally we do hope that this book will be useful to aspirants for different entrance examinations like IAS, IFS, state civil service exams, management and banking, admission tests etc. About the Authors Dr. Anil Kumar has served the state and SKUAST in different capacity including Agriculture Extension Officer, Assistat Professor, Agronomy and presently as Associate professor, Division of Agronomy, FoA, Main Campus, Chatha having guided a good number of M.Sc. and Ph.D. students. With a briliant academic record Dr. Anil Kmar used to be on the honour's board of HPKV-Palampur and the merit fellowship holder in PAU-Ludhiana. He is extensively involved in teachng UG, PG along with being extension resource person for various Districts of J&K. He has handled various ICAR and state funded projects and is a life member of a number of prfessional societies in India. He is also on the panel of referees for varous national and international journals. Dr. Jag Paul Sharma started his professinal career as Assistant Professor in erstwhile SKUAST-J&K. Being throughout first in his academic career, he obtaned Ph.D. in Plant Breeding from GBPUAT, Pantnagar in 1988 and post doctorate in Plant Biotechnolgy from Bose Institute, Calcutta in 1993. His rich research experience ranges from biochemical genetics, plant tissue culture to varietal development plant breding. To his credit, he has six varieties, 3 of wheat, 2 of barley and 1 of chickpea released at the state level. He has authored three books, two on cold arid agriculture and one on sustainable agriculture. Presently he is heading Divisin of vegetable Science and Floriculture, SKUAST-J. His area of research is genetical improvement of vegetable and ornamental crops.
