Biotechnology has been received with a considerable degree of scepticism in Indian agricultural circles. In last few years since biotechnology became a priority area for Indian policy markers there have been deeply influenced thinking on biotechnology and the role of genetic engineering (GE) in agricultural production. Biotechnology has long been used to make everdya products (e.g. The use of microorganisms, such as Bacteria or fungi, to manufature cheese, wine and antibiotics). The scope of this term has changes overtime a new technologies have been invented. The book intends to expalin the basic aspects of agricultural biotechnology in a simpel and lucid manner.

(Gold Medalist, Zoology) and Ph.D. From Patna University.
