It focuses on the rules of functioning digital communication system blocks, starting with the performance limits set bythe information theory. About the Author Krzysztof Wesolowski is a Full Professor and Head of Wireless Communications Division in the Institute of Electronics and Telecommunications at Poznan University of Technology, Poland, where he gained an M. Sc. in Electrical Engineering (1976) and Ph.D. in Communications (1982). He also has an M.A. in Mathematics (cum Laude), which he achieved in 1977, from the Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznan. Prof. Wesolowski completed his Habilitation in Communications in 1989, also at Poznan University of Technology and was awarded thetitle of the Professor in Technical Sciences in 1999 by the President of Republic of Poland.
