About The Author Scot Ober Ph.D. Dr. Scot Ober has taught business communication for more than 20 years, most recently as a professor of business at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. He received his Ph.D. degree from the Ohio State University in 1974. He has served as director of research for the Gregg Division of McGraw-Hill Book Company in New York City and served as a military secretary in Vietnam, where he was awarded the Bronze Star.
