Author Biography
Carol Turkington is a medical writer and editorial consultant. She has contributed articles to Psychology Today, New Parent Advisor, Current Health, Geriatrics, The Scientist and Pediatric Management, among other publications, and is the author of numerous books on human health including Encyclopedia of the Brain and Brain disorders and Encyclopedia of Infectious Diseases. She lives in Morgantown, Pennsylvania. Allen E Sussman, Ph.D., a graduate of Gallaudet University, is director of the Counseling and Placement Center at Gallaudet University and associate professor in the Gallaudet Graduate School Counseling Department. A certified psychologist in psychotherapy and family therapy, Dr. Sussman lives in Greenbelt, Maryland.
