Commerce runs the world but entrepreneurs rule the globe. One of the challenges for the new generation is being self reliant and entrepreneurship is the key to it. Entrepreneurship fulfills economic wants of the individual and at the same time result into development of the economy. Study of entrepreneurship as a subject starts from the grass root level as a school curriculum and finds its way to the university at the graduate and post graduate level. This book has been designed keeping in mind what entrepreneurship is all about and how it can be applied. It starts from the simple concepts of “What is entrepreneurship” to the complex level of different functional areas managed by an entrepreneur like Finance, Marketing, Production and so on. An attempt is made which is informative and comprehensive and would benefit students and professionals aspiring to become successful entrepreneurs.

Upendra Kaushik, presently Principal, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's Vidyashram, Jaipur, is a recipient of the 'National Award to Teachers-2001' instituted by the Government of India, 'State Teachers Award-2002' by the Government of the National Capital Region, Delhi, 'Dr. S. Radhakrishnan Memorial Award-2002', 'Jewel of India Award-2003', 'Peace Award-2003', 'Lifetime Achievement Award-2003,' 'Guru Dronacharya Award-2003', 'Shakuntalam National Award-2003' and 'Spardhashree Award-1996'. He is a member of the Committee of Courses in the CBSE, NIOS and NCERT, resource person for STC, SISI, HARDICON, NIESBUD, KVS, New Delhi. He is the member of Committee of Courses in Entrepreneurship and member of the editorial board for class XI & XII CBSE textbook in entrepreneurship. He has teaching experience of more than 29 years. Smt. Samita Bhatnagar, M.Com., B.Ed., Gold Medalist in M.Com from Mohan Lal Sukhadia University, Udaipur. She is head, faculty of Business Studies and Entrepreneurship in Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan's Vidyashram, Jaipur. She has attended a number of workshops seminars and conferences organized by CBSE, NCERT and other organizations.
