Launch! is a book on entrepreneurship and business by leading business consultant Scott Duffy. Summary of the Book In today's world, everything an entrepreneur needs is available to him. Scott Duffy reassures readers that this is the right time to take up a business of their own and go forth into the great unknown. He warns them, however, that they will need to bring the tools they need, such as persistence, hard work, passion and vision. He draws from his experience with the big leagues and proposes a three-part systematic approach to entrepreneurial ventures. He shows how one can assess personal risk and how one goes about assembling financial resources as well as other resources. He also helps readers formulate a strategy which will help them launch their business to new heights and achieve the goals they want it to. He uses examples from real life entrepreneurs who have made it big, such as Sara Blakely, a young Floridian, who started with $5,000 in her vision for the future of underwear to create Spanx. Her company now boasts a revenue of over a quarter billion dollars. These stories are coupled with Duffy's own advice and hints for readers, showing them how to stay focussed and to never lose the passion they start out with. About Scott Duffy Scott Duffy is an American writer, speaker and business consultant. He has worked with several big media brands like CBS Sportsline, NBC Internet, and FOXSports.com and later founded Smart Charter.
